I don’t know when we’ll do it this year.
Are you saying that y’all actually wrap the boxes with wrapping paper? I’ve never heard of that happening. I know we offer boxes. That’s it though.
Hahah, I like your attitude!
Here’s what I do:
When customers get really creepy with me, I either ignore them or remind them of the fact that they’re so much older than me that I could be their daughter. Like, seriously I’ve said to some old-ass man before that my dad is way younger than him!
If they just won’t go away and you’re super uncomfortable, get another associate (preferably a guy) or call a manager over. That should send the creepster walking out of there.
You get paid overtime when you go over the allotted hours that’s considered part-time, if you get what I’m saying. You can get in trouble for it. However, shit happens sometimes. A couple of associates I know have gone on to work over 40 hrs/wk a couple of times since the holiday season started and since they’re really close with the SM, they didn’t get a write-up or anything.
I won’t! Not anytime soon, anyway :)
Aw, that’s the worst..
I always do my size checks away from the customer’s hearing range so that if I don’t get a response, I can always just pretend that I did and tell the customer that we don’t have the item anymore.
What dress are you thinking of wearing?
When I started out at my current store, we had a lot of white and black people. We only had about maybe 5 Asians and Hispanics altogether, out of the 50ish people in the store. Now, practically everyone at my store are foreign-born/minorities and we’ve got maybe 15 white people? And half of them are eastern European.
It’s cool though. We’ve got a diverse store and it’s really interesting to get to know other people’s cultures.
It’s on my.anfcorp. Look under Personal Information.
Coolness! Like I said, I’ve never met a manager who actually cared about where else we work. But if we’re talking technicalities here, we aren’t allowed to work at competitor stores.
Hmm, I don’t know… You should definitely speak to a manager about it though!
You say something along the lines of “(store name) at (location). This is (your name).” If it’s a call-in, put the person on hold and then get a manager.
Sucks to be you, I guess.. Hahah.
